Alex Hines is the founder and only team member of GreenEd Hydrogen Solutions. He is pursuing a J.D. at University of Dayton Law School and a M.S. in Renewable and Clean Energy. He holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Cornell University. His value to GreenEd Hydrogen Solutions stems from his passion about energy policy, environmental protection, energy engineering, and wanting to help lay the educational foundation for a future hydrogen economy. From his experience, he noticed that if an engineer or scientist wants to produce a small amount of hydrogen for  low cost, they are out of luck. They would have to buy a big, bulky, overpriced electrolyzer that cost over $1,000. Over the past 7 months, he has designed and built a prototype of a mini electrolyzer, named GreenEd, that will be used to teach high school-aged students about hydrogen production and renewable energy.
